Frans K. Smit was Spier’s prodigious Cellar Master for nearly three decades, and is still an integral part of our business in his capacity as Wines Managing Director. In honour of his remarkable influence and ongoing legacy, these wines represent the highest echelon of our winemaking craft. Produced in limited quantities, the coveted blends are complex, nuanced and enjoyed around the world. The Bordeaux-inspired white blend consists of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon while the red typically contains Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz.
