A Spier farm exclusive, the Ideology range provides a blank canvas of distinct varietals and blends that captures our winemaker’s most thought-provoking ideas in each bottle. A classic Rhône-inspired blend of Shiraz and Mourvèdre, this spicy red is crafted from vines up to 20 years old.
TASTING NOTE | DOWNLOAD TASTING NOTE On the nose, blackcurrant and raspberry are layered by subtle oak spice. Fine tannins move across the palate smoothly, supported by a long, lingering finish. The idea behind this wine is to enjoy it with a charcuterie board or bistro-style fare such as a flavourful cassoulet.

TERROIR / SOIL
Terroir ranges from deep decomposed granite soils with clay subsoil to weathered shale. The medium soil fertility leads to medium growth and medium to low yields.
