WINEMAKERJacques Erasmus TERROIR / SOILMainly Kroonstad and Clovelly soils from vineyards in the Stellenbosch, Paarl and Breedekloof regions 14 - 80 km from the Atlantic Ocean. VINEYARD AND CLIMATE CONDITIONSThis wine’s grapes were from vines between 14 – 18 years-old growing in a south-facing vineyard. Average Temperature: winter: 9/16°C, summer 14/26°C Annual Rainfall: 850 – 1100 mm. WINEMAKINGGrapes were hand-harvested early in the morning, crushed and destemmed. Skin contact lasted six hours.
